Brake wins Kennebacasis Challenge Marathon - Chris Brake runs a personal best time of 2:37:43, the fastest marathon time recorded in NB in many years. The young Saint John runner took the pace out very fast, running the first half under 1hour and 15minutes. Brake faded only a little in the 2nd half to win his second KC Marathon in as many years. Lepage wins inaugural Moncton Marathon - The rain did not discourage over 230 runners from participating in the Legs For Literacy road races. This year, the organizers added the marathon to the event and Carol Lepage of Moncton was the first to cross the line in a time of 2:51:26 followed closely by Dieppe's Jacques Gautreau.
