Runners will also be able to obtain the booklet this weekend at either the Brent Kelly Memorial 5 Mile in Saint John or the 15km de Grande-Digue in Grande-Digue. Vancouver Sun Run 10km - A total of 50,746 Sun runners took to the streets of Vancouver to the celebrate the 22nd annual Vancouver Sun Run. New Brunswick's very own Joël Bourgeois was the top Canadian finisher, good for third place and a time of 29:46. Scott Simpson, a Sackville, NB native, was an excellent sixth place in a time of 30:07. Gilbert Okari of Kenya was the overall winner in time of 28:25. Meshack Sang, another male Kenyan finished 2nd in 29:23. The top Female finisher was Isabella Ochichi from Kenya with a time of 30:55, setting a new course record. Perfect conditions result in good times in Boston - Weather in Boston was ideal for the 110th running of the Boston Marathon, and New Brunswickers rose to the occasion. Mike Coyne, the 55 year old veteran from St Stephen was the first NBer to finish in an incredible time of 2:51:51, seventh in his age category. Bruce Rosvall (42) of Rothesay was definitely one of the biggest surprises on Monday in Boston. His 2:55:14 shattered his qualifying time of 3:12:40 and placed him 2nd from NB. Todd Price of Quispamsis and John Herron of Bloomfield, both friends and rivals, got their wish of running under 3 hours at Boston with 2:55:51 and 2:57:28 respectively. Jacques Gautreau of Dieppe was 5th with a time 2:58:24. Other notables: Roya MacDonald of Cape Tormentine was the first female from NB in a time of 3:17:54; Alain Caron of Charlo ran his 13th consecutive Boston and his 133rd completed marathon; Darrell Travis of Hampton ran his tenth consecutive Boston; the young looking Claudio Krickler showed no signs of slowing down at the ripe old age of 66 and ran an awesome time of 4:03:09. Of the 55 NB finishers, this year's participants included 25 marathoners from the Saint John area and 20 from Moncton and its outlining area. Congratulations to all! Click to view results
