Provincial Champions at 5km Distance
The New Brunswick Provincial Champions at the five kilometer distance for 2006 are Jessica Steed (18) of Fredericton and Travis Saunders (22) of Fredericton - now pursuing his Kinesiology degree at the University of Calgary.  Thomas Beckum of Caribou, Maine won the event in a time of 16:50, adding a fifth victory in the six SuperSeries events he has entered this year.  Congratulations to Jessica, Travis and the hard work of the UNB Cross-Country team in putting on a great event! Marathon By The Sea crowned two Provincial Champions - Dave Eaton and Tammy Mercier-Hackett both of Halifax are now $1080 richer after finishing first overall male and female in 12th Annual MBTS 42.2km event. Chris Brake, second overall, and Shelly Gauthier, 4th woman, the first New Brunswickers male and female, are now provincial champions in the marathon.  Congratulation to all runners!  Click to view results.
