Alex Coffin has just opened up a fitness store in Rothesay. It has two full-time employees with Glenn Trites and Maria McGraw joining the store. It is in a perfect place to run from and a running club (the Valley Running Club) has already been formed. Some new suppliers have been attracted such brand as Sugoi, Puma and Karhu. The store also tries to do customized orders when a runner has a specific need. An internet component to the store will be featured on www.marathoncanada.com. Alex has operated this website since 1998 featuring regional road race rankings for Canada. Several NB runners such as Joel Bourgeois, Patty Blanchard, Gilles Gautreau, Chris Brake and Michael Coyne have made the rankings. One of Alex’s primary objectives is to support youth in sport so any runners 16 years of age or younger are able to purchase select items for a 30% discount.
