The Running Room Super Series events continue in August with a 10km run in Chipman on Saturday August 20th. There will be other race distances of a 5km run and a 5km walk.
On Sunday August 21st, Shediac will host the Jeux d’Acadie de 50 ans et + 2016. The main 5km race will take place on the Shediac Community trail. There is a 2km race option as well.

Did you think that because New Brunswick Day has passed, your chance to race in Chipman has passed too? If so, you're wrong! The Chipman Summer Road Race is on August 20 and you have until August 6 to register online and save $5 off the already low entry fee of $30. There is a 10k run, a 5k run and a 5k walk on a unique out-and-back-and-out-and-back course. The 10k is a Superseries event and another chance to collect those points! As this summer has progressed, Paula Keating has been quietly re-writing the women's 50-59 age category record book for New Brunswick.
In a span of just over two months, from April 10 to June 26, Paula set records for 5km (18:31), five miles (31:32), half marathon (1:26:08) and marathon (2:59:25).
As an indication of the level of this accomplishment, Paula has replaced NB Sports Hall of Fame member Patty Blanchard in top spot in three of those four race categories, and in the fourth category took over 21 minutes off the former marathon record.

On Saturday July 23rd the Course du Festival des Choux de Bruxelles was run in Rogersville. In the 2k Miguel Caissie of Pleasant-Ridge was the first male finisher, crossing the finish line in a time of 8:02. The first female finisher, second overall, was Marianne Richard of Rogersville, who ran in a time of 8:58. The 5k race saw Ryan Cassidy of Grande-Digue running in a time of 16:33. The first female finisher, finishing third overall, was Carol-Ann MacDonald of Irishtown, finishing the race in a time of 19:50.
