RunNB announces the finalists for its annual awards

BERESFORD (Run NB) – RunNB, the provincial organization that promotes running in New Brunswick, is pleased to announce the finalists for its annual awards.

 

“We are extremely proud of the accomplishments of the New Brunswick running community in 2019,” said RunNB Chairperson Mary Brosnan.

 

All awards will be presented at the RunNB Hall of Fame and Award Night that will take place on Saturday, November 16 at Danny's Hotel Suites Event Centre in Beresford, NB. Brian Richard, of Miramichi, will also be inducted into the RunNB Hall of Fame at the event.

 

Finalists for the 2019 RunNB annual awards:

*        Event of the Year:  Fredericton Fall Classic (Fredericton), Miramichi Running Series (Miramichi) and Resurgo Marathon (Moncton)

 

*        Male Runner of the Year: Sylvain Arseneau (Petit Rocher), and Lee Wesselius (River Glade)

 

*        Female Runner of the Year: Nathalie Boivin (Bathurst) and Sacha Hourihan (Southfield)

 

*        Up and Coming Male Runner of the Year:  Timmy Basque (Shippagan), Grant Kelly (Saint John) and Julien Thibodeau (Bathurst)

 

*        Up and Coming Female Runner of the Year: Shawna Allaby (Belleisle Creek), Suzanne Myers (Moncton) and Summer Duchesneau (Cambridge Narrows)

 

*        Inspirational Person of the Year: Lucienne Roy (Petit Rocher West), Jeff Queen (Saint John) and Johanne Theriault (Nigadoo)

 

*        Personal Achievement Award:  Nathalie Boivin (Bathurst), Daniel Landry (Petit Rocher South) and Louise Thibodeau (Beresford)

 

  • RunNB Outstanding Contributor: Robert Lagacé (Caraquet) and Andrew Wagstaff (Cumberland County)

 

 

 

Tickets are available at $40 each at https://events.runnb.ca/online-registration/register/runnb-2019-awards-banquet/36102/and must be purchased by November 4. The event starts off with a meet and greet at 5:00 p.m. with the banquet starting at 5:45 p.m.
