Runners at Festival des Choux de Bruxelles

Two weekends ago there were 3 sanctioned races all across New-Brunswick! Despite the intense heat, there were many great performances by the athletes than attended the races.

Here is a recap of the weekend!

Tim Hortons Joe McGuire Road Race

Isaac Cull of Yarmouth NS came out on top in the 10k with a time of 33:28. Michael Colford of New Maryland was second with a time of 33:56 and Dawson Nancekievill of Somerville was third with a time of 34:45. Paula Keating of Miramichi was the first woman to finish the race with a time of 40:04, Nathalie Boivin of Bathurst was second (43:12) and Caroline Burpee of Jacksonville was third (43:16).

The top three overall finishers of the 5k was Paul Nozicka of New Bridge with a time of 18:01, Aaron Sellers of Moncton with a time of 18:57 and Tim Green of Stickney with a time of 19:24.

Jean-Marc Doiron of Moncton was the first to finish the5k with a time of 16:56. Yannick Boudreau of Dieppe was the second to finish (19:26) and Marc Doucette of came in third with a time of 21:14. Roxane Pelletier was the first female to finish the race in a time of 21:14. Amelie Cormier finished second (22:00) and Myriam Cormier was third (22:04).
