Keating shatters NB Record at Miramichi Mile

On August 6, the Miramichi River Runners played host to the Miramichi Mile.  It was another opportunity for Paula Keating to capture a New Brunswick record, and that’s just what she did!

Keating, competing in the 50-59 age category, shattered the record with a time of 5:48.  This was a full 1:42 faster than the listed record. 

In her first year of eligibility in the W50-59 age category in 2016, the New Brunswick Hall of Famer set five provincial records, but due to a calf injury was unable to compete in the mile. 

The Miramichi River Runners will be hosting their second Miramichi Mile race this coming weekend on Sunday, August 13^th.
