Races Take to NB Roads This Weekend

Three exciting races will take to New Brunswick roads this weekend. The Dam Run, in Perth-Andover on October 12th will also serve as the final Super Series race of 2019. The Sweet Caroline Run, in Rothesay on October 12th, and the Miramichi 5 Mile # 688 in Miramichi on the 13th.

The Dam Run will feature distances of 10km, 5km and a 1km Kids Fun Run. This certified course starts at the River Valley Civic Centre at 11:00am. Race day registration is available at 9:00am. If you are participating in the Super Series, the Super Series distance is the 10km race.

The Sweet Caroline Run, hosted by the Sweet Caroline Foundation – which is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting awareness of allergies and anaphylaxis, in loving memory of Caroline Lorette. It is an event you do not want to miss. This purple-dominated race is a certified course, and is in it’s 5th year. The main distance is 10km with distances of 5km and 2.5km also available. There is still time to register online, but race day registration is also available from 8:00am-9:00am at Rothesay High School. The races start at 10:00am. Don’t forget to wear as much purple as you can find!

The 688th installment of the Miramichi 5 Mile, hosted by the Miramichi River Runners will take place Sunday morning with a start time of 9:00am at the Beaverbrook Rd near the French School. On-site registration can be done from 7:30am-8:45am at the Linden Recreation Centre.
