Paula Keating will be inducted in the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame

QUISPAMSIS (GNB) – The names of the six new members who will be inducted into the New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame on May 27 were announced today.

Among them our own Paula Keating!

Paula Keating is an accomplished marathon runner, and holds numerous provincial records. Her career has spanned more than a decade with many accomplishments and firsts in New Brunswick, as well as internationally. For five consecutive years she was named Female Runner of the year by RunNB, and is an inducted member of the RunNB Hall of Fame and the Miramichi Sports Wall of Fame. She continues to challenge herself by participating in the Miramichi Rock n’ Run every year, which she has won every year since 2006.

 

“For many, many years Paula has inspired and elevated the quality of running in New Brunswick.’’ Said RunNB Chair person Rob Jackson.    “ Now she will elevate the NB Sports Hall of Fame and inspire athletes of all ages and from all sports.” Added Jackson

The members will join the hall when it holds its induction ceremony at the qplex in Quispamsis on May 27. The inductees will increase the number of honourees to 257.

The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame is a not-for-profit organization located in the historic Garrison District in downtown Fredericton. It honours achievement in competitive sport and functions as a seasonal museum. It has an interactive virtual sports system and more than 240 original portraits. It also hosts numerous exhibits.
