Raymond Caissie to be inducted into RunNB Hall of Fame

Raymond Caissie of Richibucto Village will be inducted into the Run New Brunswick (RunNB) Hall of Fame on November 7 in Bathurst.
The induction ceremony will take place as part of the RunNB Annual Awards Banquet, co-hosted by RunNB and the Chaleur Road Runners Club.
Raymond began his running career in 1993 and hasn’t stopped since, excelling in road racing for more than three decades.
Over the course of his career, Raymond has competed in countless races, qualifying for and completing the Boston Marathon three times. He is the most decorated member of the Miramichi River Runners, with 24 titles, including overall male runner and age-category honours.
Raymond has also never missed the annual 15 km Grande-Digue Road Race, completing the event every year throughout its 19-year history.
His accomplishments extend to the track, where he holds four outdoor and three indoor Masters records. Among his achievements are a gold medal in the 3,000 metres at the Canadian National Masters Championships in 2022 and a one-mile record set in 2018.
In addition to his accomplishments as a road and track runner, Raymond has competed successfully in cross-country skiing, duathlons and triathlons.
The RunNB Annual Awards Banquet will bring together members of New Brunswick’s running community for an afternoon and evening of celebration, recognition and camaraderie.
Festivities begin with a cocktail reception and cash bar at 4 p.m., followed by the RunNB Annual Awards Banquet. Guests will enjoy a hot buffet featuring a choice of salmon with lemon-dill sauce or BBQ chicken, along with pasta salad or potato salad, seasonal vegetables, rice, dessert selections, coffee and tea.
Tickets are $45 for RunNB members and $50 for non-members. Space is limited, and attendees are encouraged to purchase their tickets early.
