Young and Hourihan Run Fast and Furious Times and Become Provincial Champions

Justin Youngran a fast and furious 5km in a time of 17:28 at the 14th Annual Rave Run held at River Valley Middle School in Grand Bay –Westfield on June 2nd.Roy Clavette finished second with a 19:51 and Marcel Comeau finished 3rd in the men’s race with a time of 20:19.The Top female was Sacha Hourihan who ran a very fast time of 18:14. Susan Teakles and Nadine Jackson finished 2nd and 3rd respectively. Young and Hourihan become the RunNB Male and Female Provincial Champions for the 5Km distance and were awarded a special Provincial gold medal and $200 for their efforts. Second and third place finishers also received special provincial medals and $125 and $50 respectively. The next Provincial Championship distance will be the 10km Miramichi Rock N Run to be held on June 24th.
